Is that completed one for Okie? It would seem fitting that our first one go to our own hooker sister but if not, whomever gets it should love it, gorgeous!
Thanks for all the nice comments about the ghan! This was definitely a group effort, and like leepsy said, you really can't tell that it was stitched by more than one! The border I did was really easy. I've never written out a pattern before, but I'll try:
Row 1: Attach the border color at one corner of the afghan, chain up 1. Single crochet around to the chain 1. (You should make sure you have a multiple of 4 single crochets on each side.) Join with a slip stitch to chain 1. Do not turn.
Row 2: Chain 2 (counts as 1st single crochet plus 1st chain). (Skip next single crochet, then 7 double crochets in next single crochet, chain 1 and skip next single crochet. Single crochet in next single crochet, chain 1.) Continue around, ending each corner with the single crochet. Work around to the chain 2, attach with a slip stitch to the 1st chain.
SE - this one is going to swtangle since her new "chick" has already hatched. I think okie's has moved to #5 since there are others due before her. But that's okay - Okie's will be eggstra special, I'm sure!

hee hee This one made me laugh. At first I was like awwwww it will be extra special
then my sick sense of humor kicked in and said hmm extra special...what if everyone is tired of making squares by the time they get to mine? The possibilities are endless ^_^
No seriously, I'm perfectly okay with being in chronological order. We still don't know what we're having yet either
We find out on the 24th of this month!!
ETA: I was thinkin' it but forgot to say, LC and No chicks thank you for the instructions!!
