JennaLynn122 is loading a hatch video onto You Tube!
jbenson sold all of the chicks from a hatch and has convinced DH to get a second incubator to use as a hatcher.
thowe candled and dropped one!
tnspursfan09 asked for candling tips. It is ok to take your time candling--cooling is better for them than dropping...
SoManyHats asked what kills embryos on day 5-7. The most common cause is temps too high.
RandyAruba is looking for a Hatcher that will ship from the US to Aruba.

jinks12333 has a chick wilt the yolk attached. Do not pull it! If it looks like it will get caught, you can cut if it is dry.

I did not know that PAchickenlover was a transmission dismantler! Good job!umbs:
Lol neither did I but I was tired of looking at it sitting in our driveway and having to walk around the thing. It was worth a lot more taken apart than it was intact. (Hubby is a mechanic, and I took a course on auto body repair) I've had a good teacher. Lol
I am from a Family of Mechanics. I worked at Wrecking yard my first year in College. It was a great experience.
It's good to know that the parts are worth that much in a transmission as salvage.
The parts are worth that much if you take the time to separate everything. I went so far as to pull the copper wiring out of the celenoids. The casing to our transmission was all aluminum. There were me miscellaneous aluminum parts on the inside also. So yeah if it is taken apart properly it is worth a good bit.
Sorry it took me so long to respond.. just found this today. Lol

Candling Today: amyfitz100; Loriemarler; Euarto Bullible- 2 infertile; ShayBaby- 7/8 still going; jbenson- 19 of 40 are clears; ddhyland- half of 41 not going; roostereggs- thought all were gone but found 11 still going; Kismet- 9 pulled out of 57; Hyaduke27 has15 of 21 veining; Audio51 has 53 eggs developing; rommysgirl pulled 2 and has 16 still going;
Audio51 reminded us that it can take 12 to 24 hours from pip to zip!
Sally Sunshine reminds us to get on the cute baby fowl contest!
MandyMW asked if it was too late to join. For some things it is too late, but join anyway!
Kiomey found bugs on her silkie rooster! They might be Lice or mites.
Sillycmoy has temperature issues! 102 in a still air incubator. Do not give up hope!
Wolftracks is having a third year of hatching issues. She is determined to figure out what is going on!
Jbenson could not get chicks at TSC, they were all sold out! DH is going to build them an incubator!

Hayduke27 is working on elevation issues—keeping humidity up with vents out. Pozees said to use a humidifier. Bantiesrule says to add sponges to the cups.
