Double yolk eggs

Today we found a double yolk egg from one of our girls. My question is, if the hen goes broody and hatches this egg, I am assuming there would be just 1 chick. Is there ever 2,????

I guess it could have twins if both yolks were fertilized but I really doubt an egg like that would ever hatch, Two embryos competing inside one egg would be a problem, I think.

Go on Youtube and search double yolk egg hatching or two chicks hatch from same egg, something along those lines. It CAN and HAS happened, and you can watch it on video That's certainly no guarantee that yours will, but you never know if you never try! Good luck!
