Well, then, you need to make a quilt with chickens on it, Kathy! I have some blocks right now I'll be making into a chicken quilt. However, I am going to start a quilt for our bed (to be used after my sweet dog has departed) from the Road to Oklahoma pattern. I love hatching, but I think it's time for a break for winter. Back to chicks in spring!

That's true, that's true! Yes, I live my egg fantasies through Cyn, Kathy and Rustyswoman.

Gloria Jean, you can just use chicken-print fabrics in the quilt or you can piece a chicken, either one. I have some Hole in the Barn Door(also called Churn Dash and other things) blocks where the center is a chicken print. The staff did some for a quilt block exchange and I'll be getting the blocks next month to make into something.

I'm not standing over this batch much just yet. My beautiful Skye will have to be euthanized today and after we deal with that, I'll start bator watching. We've worked with her for two weeks and she's just barely hanging on now.

I'll need some little chicks to cheer me up. Day 20 starts after 2:30 p.m. today.

I got Maxine to go out into the run today and she ate well. She is sooooooooooo broody. I so wish I could have had eggs and the time to let her set. . My Maxine is hugh. She definitely is Suedes daughter. I will be thinking about you Gloria Jean
