i will post pics.

idk boy or girl but i call him he. his name is Puwey Bum Quack and its ironic cuz he cant poop...

i think he is dying. until now he was thriving (three days old now), all he does now is sleep no matter what. no resistance to being picked up. very bloated, soft belly. Born with yolk sac, still healing... I've been putting antibiotic ointment on it every couple hours since hatch. i hear some little clicking sound when he breathes. every breath is shallow and the click sound is with every inhale. clear eyelids dry and brown. n

vent not crusted or anything and he tries so hard and so often to poop

he eats and drinks great just as much as the others who poop a ton

(side note: their breasts were getting puffy and swollen so i took the food out to give them a break... should i put it back? took it out ten min ago)

please help. what can i do. im desperate to help my little guy. can a vet do anything? do you think his intestines dont connect correctly?

please help me save him :hit

info: pekin
fresh water constantly available
duck starter feed constantly available

i tried acv in water
belly massage
warm swim/bath
cleaned the area

Yolk scab in my opinion should be left alone, you don't want to mess up his immune system. If he is not pooping it's possible that he doesn't have a fully formed digestive system. If he was born a bit early I'd maybe wait one more day before panicking (as long as he's not getting weaker.) You said he was bloated, could his crop be clogged? Where is the bloating, his crop/chest area or his stomach? Or somewhere else?

how do you fix a clogged crop? what even is a crop?

he hasnt pooped once. ever. since he hatched

should i keep giving him access to water and food? he keeps eating and drinking and then tries to poop and nothing comes out and he gets more and more bloated by the second.

his upper part is all bloated and soft feeling, and so is his entire belly and sides. basically his entire body apart from his head, wings, and legs/feet are bloated and soft. he does not feel at all like the others. they arent nearly as squishy

idk if he is getting weaker.... he just has zero motivation or energy
all he does is sleep
i have to put the food to his beak and bring the water straight up to his mouth

his breathing was not like this before, it is getting weaker and weaker

he is getting more and more snuggly by the minute

im desperate....

can the vet do surgery or anything to fix his intestines

:ya glad you got pooped on! ;)

How does the vent look now?
I was actually thinking it looked like intestines hanging out, but I’m on mobile and pics don’t enlarge well for me.
Would love for @casportpony to take a look
