I am happy for you! So can I ask--why the c-section? I'm assuming it was an "emergency" one?

Yikes...I've never heard of that before...and now I'm worried about that since I'm supposed to have a c-section, too.

I got to 7 CM, then stalled, plus Lukes heart rate kept dipping, and it dipped really bad so they were ready to do an emergency C section, but they were able through rolling me around to get his heart rate back up, so they didn't have to do an emercency c cection but did do it within an hour of deciding. Turned out Luke was facing upward and a little to the right instead of face down, So he actually has a HUGE hematoma from being stuck at the birth canal. And apparently that is the exact reason my mom had to have a C section with me

Oh I see....how are YOU doing? How is the recovery? Will you still be able to breastfeed?

When I saw those pics on FB of the helicopter...I teared up.

BUT....I am really glad that everything will be okay! I can hardly wait to see more pics when he's home and settled in!

Don't stress! I had an unplanned c-section with my daughter, and other than one small episode of apnea, she was perfectly healthy. She was actually ready to go home before me!

And so glad to hear baby Luke is doing well, kelseygirl!

We had a birthday party today for my hubby, and one of my aunts and a cousin stayed late and helped suggest things to for me to add to my registry. things like a baby gate - i didn't even think of needing one of those - you'd think being my 6th baby i'd know what was needed and what isn't....you'd also think that having 5 previous babies I'd still have some things left over but we gave away everything after baby boy was born 3 years ago.

my whole family is excited that we're having a girl!

Kelsey - Your Luke sounds as stubborn as Wyatt. He was also sunny side up and pointed to the left. I don't remember ever feeling a contraction b/c all I could ever feel was his head crushing my pelvis. Luckily I got away with just forceps and not a c-section, although the trauma to my pelvis left me in bed for close to 2 weeks...talk about stir crazy! I hope your recovery is quicker and Luke gets home soon!

Hey Guys

Well, last night felt like Christmas eve, I was soo excited the I would be getting the best present ever today, that I had a hard time falling asleep. Finally fell asleep around 11pm, then they came in at 1am to give me my pain meds. Then I layed here until like 3:30 am listening to my neighbor give birth all Naturally, and apparently there are curse words I had never heard before! HaHa! She had a little boy, and I have been hearing him cry off and on all night, and boy does it make me miss Luke! But maybe his crying will help my milk come in, LOL. I've been pumping since Friday night, but I have only gotten about 1/2 an ounce and that was with my first pump. The hospital is giving me an electric Medela pump, so that is pretty cool

. Although I assume my insurance gets billed for it, lol. Now I'm laying here just waiting for the morning to pass, so I can get out of here, and get to my little guy.

Oh look how cute he is!!!

Hoping the morning goes fast for you, kelsey! so you can get over there and hold that precious boy!

p.s. I bet once you get to hold Luke and try nursing him, your milk will come in no problem! My milk came in 3 days after my first was born, and it didn't come in gradual...it was like one day none, day 3 BOOM! I was engorged!

Kelsey, I'm new to this thread but just wanted to say congrats to you, Bill, & Luke. Sounds like all is going well from here & welcome to the 4th trimester.

Just have to share that when I felt Baby kicking yesterday, I was able to have DH feel- he was so excited! He could feel her/him. I haven't been sleeping too well & my back has started hurting. *sigh* I guess it's time to invest in a back support & body snuggle pillow.
