Falling Down Heights, my daily life

It's what I'm leaning towards, although not necessarily 'monsters'. I'm thinking more along the lines of the Little People of Native legend.
Ah yes the Little People, they live underground and have control over some natural forces. They possess great strength . If you even see one of these little people, you can be taken captive and held under ground for a year, some never return at all!

Holy CROW Wind, we really really need to know whats out there!!!!!!! Can we convince you to "go toward the light"?! 😁

Are you ok now? :hugs

Seriously though, sounds like its one of those Wendigos or possibly a Waheela, but where did they get little lasers?!! 🤔 Cross over dimensions, past meets present??

Do keep us posted Wind!!

Aside from the fact that I have no idea what these things are, I didn't consider anything supernatural! Not going to even think about that. Stay safe, Wind. Don't do anything risky!

Times like this is when I'm reminded of why I can't live in a completely "off grid" (or even worse, in the middle of the woods) kind of area. WAY too scary for me. Might be time to invest in one more guard dog...or two? If it were me, I'd never go below 5 guard dogs (well, then there's the expenses of keeping them, but you know what I mean)

And they are tricksters. Very similar to the Sidhe of Celtic legends. I think all the various cultures have their own version of Little People.

Depending on what they do to me, going to live with them may not be such a bad thing. 🤔 Except who would take care of the critters.

I am the least 'risk taking' person when it comes to my safety, Fluffy, don't worry about that! I may fall down a lot but it's usually NOT from taking risks.

We currently have three large dogs. Two of which will warn us but greet whoever it is by licking them (and they usually don't warn when inside unless someone is on the doorstep). MY dog, Taiyo, will warn at anything when he's outside, but less so when inside. And being a scent hound, he can smell things out in the woods too. One of the reasons I have to keep him chained up when he goes out, or else he'll just run and follow his nose! But he's also leery of strangers, although I don't think he'd attack.

I love living out here, but in my 3 years here this is the first time I got freaked out like this. I do believe in spirits, and these used to be Native grounds before settlers kicked them out. Something I am very ashamed of.

Next time I have to grab smokes, I'll talk to one of the people at the shop. I get them from a Native outpost.

Happens way more often than you think, at least south of your border.
Oh, I know! But you'd think that over the last few weeks that my daughter has been seeing these lights, we would have heard gun shots. And these lights are very brief in duration and appear in many places in short succession. Also, don't think hunters use flashlights? 🤔

They may eat you so no you can't go live with them!!!! :barnie

Made a tough decision this morning and culled the friendly-but-small Chantecler cockerel with the non-conforming comb. :( Broke my heart but I couldn't justify keeping him and, even though I know it was just his hormones as he matured, he was pestering my girls to the point some didn't want to come out of the coop.

What was the most difficult is how much he trusted me; after a bit of fuss when I picked him up, he settled right down in my arms and barely struggled when I put him in position for "the deed". Gonna miss him.

I'm so sorry :hugs
