Rudy the Lone Chick has decided that food is to dust-bathe in. >.< Gave the little bugger a dish of Diatomatious Earth, which is being ignored.
The gooselings are now allowed to free range for the simple reason that they figured out those big things on their backs (wings) were great to get the out of the pen!
So, I also set up a baby pool for them and they LOVED IT! Jumping in and out, rolling around in it, it was hilarious!

Which means I can keep her!!! Digging into the genetics, since dad was a uniform red and mom is a blue cuckoo, all male offspring would be barred. And Rudy is NOT barred!
He's eating and drinking and growing at least. I think he may have suffered some sort of injury at hatch. This was the egg I found cold and trampled and managed to save in the incubator. I'd kept another of the ducklings with him for company, but they were both getting way to big for my bathtub.
