I agree with @Miss Lydia ...I think a lot of the issues come from the ganders Love my Chance so much but I see some tough times ahead with him But, no worse than a drake's attitude, just bigger!

Another breed that I've not owned myself, but would absolutely loooove are the Sebastopol geese! They are so beautiful!!

Sooo... from reading this thread it seems like Buff and Pilgrim are the calmest/gentlest ones?? And maybe Toulouse? But from the websites I looked it, it looked like they had a bunch of different types of Toulouse? Didn’t realize there were different ones.

I love my Sebastopols. I've bred white Sebastopols for about 12 years now. Awesome temperament and they can't fly.

For what it's worth (I have not fully 'survived' one entire mating season with them, so their temperaments may change) I adore my African goose. Unlike my randy gander, she is still sweet, mild mannered, and has never thought about biting anybody. Would probably eat a cat if given the chance though.
