I had to come back to work but I:

1. Moved everyone into the original tote with food, water, grit and the brooding plate so there’s no chance of a chill. (I hope this wasn’t a mistake, I just didn’t think Big Brown would stay warm without the others)
2. Checked Big Brown’s rear for a blockage and cleaned with a warm wash cloth just to be cautious.
3. Tried to wait to see if Big Brown would poop bit ran out of time. Littles seem to be pooping and acting normally. Big Black has kind of runny poop but nothing that seemed concerning. With four together it’s hard to know which poop is which unless you see it.

The Nutri Drench should arrive by the time I get home from work. Hopefully things will have improved with Big Brown ... I’m scared sick I’ll come home to the unthinkable ...

Still at work, I normally don’t take a lunch so I have to work an extra hour.

My partner may beat me home today, told him to send me an update as soon as he gets there ... Though he’s much less paranoid than I am and probably will think everything is “fine” if Big Brown still has a pulse.

Not looking good. She can stand, but doesn’t want to. Still seems bloated. Makes noises if I try to pick her up like she’s in pain (I may be reading into that but she’s not usually noisy when you touch her).

She’s moving her head forward and backward as she breathes and continues to make the squeaky/raspy noise with intermittent clicking. It reminds me of when a cat has a hair ball. Also there is kind of a gurgle squeaky noise coming from her side/stomach. I checked her bum and no blockage that I can see.

Any ideas? Anything I can do for her? I feel terrible seeing her like this.

@casportpony Since you’re the poop expert ... She just seemed to labor over pooping and only a small amount of white poop with the tiniest hint of light green cane out. Any ideas? I don’t think she could have gotten into anything and everyone else seems normal ...

Well from my extensive internet searching I’m thinking it’s either pneumonia or aspergillosis.

I’ve been cleaning their brooder regularly but perhaps the air circulation isn’t sufficient?

Before this happened I had started to get our first aid and emergency kit together but of course I don’t have an antifungal on hand and Coastal Farm is already closed.

Any suggestions? I’m so sad, I feel horrible for not catching it sooner.

White poop can be a sign of dehydration.
This may not be the best idea, and it may be too late, but I'd put her in a warm bath and see if she will swim, preen, clean her nares, drink some, etc.
There is also a flush recipe somewhere here. @Miss Lydia ??

Have you ever done any tube feeding? Might do some researching on it too.

I'm so sorry she isn't better. :hugs

Thanks @WVduckchick. I tried a nice warm bath, she just stood there, well kind of floated there, with her legs splayed out. No swimming, no splashing, no drinking.

I took her out and dried her throughly, wrapped her in a dry towel to keep warm. She won’t drink, even if I dunk her bill.

She keeps chirping, it’s so sad and squeaky and rattles. She seems bloated, her poop is milky and the faintest bit of green.

Our neighbor who has chickens suggested an eye dropper with water and apple cider vinegar. I don’t know how to tube feed.

I just don’t know what to do ...
