I imagine that is a lovely sun trap 😊 looks so cozy there. 💖

Re: vehicles I feel the more expensive the car the more stupid the driver. When I was driving home yesterday I was cut off by no less then 7 vehicles! All of them high end sporty cars, Carrera (? Spelling), Audi, some other small zippy little speed bump I do not recognize, and a couple Mercedes...

What the heck! I drive a honking big truck! What are you doing cutting in front of me and then .... Stopping! You are but a speed bump to my truck with its 21" tires which are bigger then your wee little toy car 😲😲😲😆😆😆

Oh I owe so much tax 🤗🤗🤗🤗
As an owner of an expensive vehicle I will let that one go.

108 in Austin yesterday at my daughter's house. Kicked our butts so we weren't able to do all the outside work I had planned. Fortunately she is handy so we managed to change out some lights and fans. We have 2 hens suffering from heat stress so they're in a spare bedroom in our house recuperating.
Is this usually a constant battle all summer?

Yes! It is a 2 gal. round cooler. I used the nipple waterers, and an adapter made for this purpose. Note, if you use a small round cooler (like mine), you will also have to buy thicker rubber washers ( plumbing dept. in home depot or other plumbing supply store) to seal on the curvature. A small square cooler or a large (think team gatorade size) cooler is easier. That said, I didn't want a huge one as it would just plain old be too hard to move around once full.

There is also an adaptor that can be used with small round coolers - a screw in one that replaces the pour spout. (That said, it is a bit price, imo). I tried one of these as well. For you this would be GREAT! for me, it is thought of/used as a back-up waterer, as having only 2 nipples really restricts how many can drink at once - not good in heat. I will take and submit a picture of this one later.

:goodpost: I have bookmarked this.

Ok everyone, we have our first set of pictures. Because of the time differences around the world I would like for everyone at some point before Midnight eastern time in the United States on Tuesday July 12th to post their pictures in celebration.

I'm going to modify the picture request. I would prefer that everyone post a photo of every chicken which you have shared here but that could be too much for some folks. So for those of you with a whole lot of chickens to share I am asking that instead you share your 3 all time favorite pictures of your chickens.

Any objections?
