When I complained about the heat she threw in a low blow. Asked if I was getting too old to handle the heat . How dare she when my birthday is almost a month away now. I will not be alone in my misery, I'm not the only one who got lazy and slacked off walking. If I'm going to die, so shall she.

Big difference breedwise between Lady Featherington and Nox n Mera: body shape. Lady F should have the large round fluffy orpington frame (according to breed standards). Nox and Mera should have a slimmer, longer, leaner build (not as slim as the Mediterranean breeds like Leghorns). Haven't found side by side pics though.

It is official, my sister is plotting to kill me. Before she moved out we would walk to the head of our holler about 5 times a week. This is roughly a 3 mile walk....and my sister does not know how to take a leisurely stroll. She moves out, I get lazy and have not done it since. I just got a phone call from her giving me 15 minutes to get ready she is on her way and I have to walk with her. She is crazy, it is 90 out and horribly humid. If I wanted to melt I would go clean the stalls at the barn now instead of waiting until it cools off this evening.

Security Breach

We had a security incident last night. I had to implement my IRT, Incident Response Team. Someone breached the fence in the grassy area where the Rascals are roaming. Before opening the spoiler below I want you to post your guess as to who breached my flimsy barrier.

Here is the list of possibilities.

• Glynda
• Lady Featherington
• Gucci
• Aurora
• Phyllis
• Sydney
• Betty
• Éowyn

And no reading ahead to see everyone commenting on it!

Well, initially I would have though Glynda or Phyllis, as they are both curious and good flyers. But then, I realized you said 'flimsy fence'.. If someone flew over it, you wouldn't be saying 'flimsy', you would be saying 'short'. So, given this, I am going to go with either Hattie or LAdy Featherington. I don't think Eowyen would breach the fence, nor Betty (though I may be surprised...but if she did, she would have flown over) Also, Sydney is a good flier as well (witness: her taking Ned & Lucky into the tree!) I don't think it is Gucci, as she is just starting to see, and needs time to get her confidence up.
Aurora I don't think would bother breaching into the littles, they are, at this point, beneath her/ not her worry as head hen That may change when they mingle, though.

Hmmm, I just read your list again, and Hattie was not on it. (?maybe she is subdued due to molting?) so, i guess by process of elimination, that leaves Lady featherington? She is a bold one...playing 'one foot out/one foot in' with you...so Lady it is!!
