It looks like you might be able to convert it to a pinball machine when it’s offline. So that could offset the cost….Eggspensive
This seems like overkill for Fluffy Butt Acres.

I'm not sure if they will learn by being grounded... What stops them from being more vicious?I'd have them ALL grounded separately. They need time to reconsider their behaviour
Everyone keep one of my red girls in your thoughts. I'm in full blown emergency mode right now with her. The people that are renting the house down at the barn got a new pup 2 months ago. They have kept her tied up until this evening. She got ahold of one of my girls. She is alive, but is in obvious shock and has a dime size puncture hole on her back, it does not look too deep though. Mom is working with the hen, I'm going out to do a head count on everyone else, and dad is on his way to have a not so nice talk with her owner. I'm ready to shoot the dog.
Maybe I was just lucky because that worked for me in the pastI'm not sure if they will learn by being grounded... What stops them from being more vicious?
I missed all of that. Thats why I love sharing then. You all see things I miss in the moment.Look at Betty - she’s wanting to see the action up close! Her body language says to Aurora that she knows her place and will be no trouble. But she knows how mad Aurora is, she takes cover there behind the shrub just in case!
This is clever. I love this.Could you cut a nest sized hole in the floor line, and clip/build a tray filled with sand onto the bottom? It would shrink the tool storage a bit, but if you hinged the thing, you could dump and refill with clean sand occasionally. If it works, remove the bottom and you have a new bottom
We may try that too. I just hope things can get better on their own. It happened out of the blue after all.Maybe I was just lucky because that worked for me in the past
Imo. All bullies should be separated from everyone else humans especiallyWe may try that too. I just hope things can get better on their own. It happened out of the blue after all.
I lost Rusty, Mama (Storm's mama), and 6 pullets when Storm was 3 weeks old. Cheetah and the other 7 pullets (now hens), were 12 weeks old. Came home to bodies all over and no other traces of the dog. We figured out which dog, and it's no longer in the area, but no compensation as we hadn't seen it happen. I'd rather lose birds to foxes and coyotes. At least they're trying to eat.I'm going to be reasonable. I will simply ask that she be tied back up, I do not want her stepping a foot back in my yard. She has now killed once, she WILL do it again given the opportunity. I also think it is fair to be compensated for the loss of Granny. Yes my chickens are pets foremost, but I also sell eggs and have several egg customers. I just lost a brand new laying cinnamon queen.
