Even though she is a big girl, Bernie seems able to fly.

Magnificent! I love watching chickens 'size things up' before the jump or fly. It is almost like you can seem them making the calculations in their head! (See, chickens DO know math: If I leave the roost flying at X speed, and lose y height per second, how hard do I have to flap to overcome that gravity?")
