Ok well I need to do chores will check in later - I pulled a rib muscle so everything takes longer to do… those bales of have are lovely but darn heavy!

Have to make sure chickies are ok and feed horses for the night 😊

Not that it matters, but Rema is actually a Cuckoo Marans with lightly feathered legs who lays a dark brown egg. She is the largest lady in my flock and has thrown her weight around in the past, but has settled in nicely as the beta hen. She is a lovely hen, but I say that about all of them. There's something to love about each and every one! :love

Nellie has new tail feathers coming fast. Neck feathers too. Status of existing feathers is still uncertain.

These 3 stayed in the coop today. Much preening.Oh, and Silver finally dropped most of those tatty tail feathers she's been sporting for the last year in favor of crisp new ones, sneaky witch grew in the new before I saw the old missing.
