I hope you can get it sorted Lozzy.Sorry, I hadn’t absorbed all your message before I responded. The active ingredient is clotrimazole and it is 100 mg/g, it doesn’t give a percentage.
I do have access to an avian vet but since I spent around $700.00 trying to save Chickie, I am anxious to try and avoid a vet visit if it’s something I can fix.
I was so mad. Why call me at that moment?!You left us hanging, Bob! LOL!
That feels like qualified good news. Hang in there. Thanks Michelle, she seems to be ok. I ended up posting on the ER thread, which I saw that you saw, and two comments said it didn’t sound like she has sour crop. She may have just had something stuck yesterday. I will check crops morning and night for a week, just so I know my birds better, and give them ACV water every other day.
Thank you so much for your detailed help.I am really struggling mental health-wise at the moment so it was all becoming too much. I am taking steps to remedy this, so hopefully soon things won’t seen too bad.
Here’s a photo of them ‘helping’ today.

We all struggle with mental health Lozzy, same as we do with our physical health.
Those who do not are truly mad.
Hooray! Are you thinking chicks or pullets?Well that is a good question. I guess I wanted the Chicken Palace to be finished - but it is close enough. And then there was lockdown for the virus - I am sure getting chickens isn’t ‘essential’ ( but I am also sure nobody will stop me), and then it is so damn cold! I think I will start to figure it all out and find some additional Princesses!
It is amazing how quickly they rub it in. You will notice that I did not try again for colored eggs with my latest additions. It was just too painful.Ok, now you guys are just rubbing it in,
Poor old Bob![]()
A movie before bed?
Just went to tuck the Princesses in for the night. They were all in bed already but clearly watching something interesting. I looked out of the window but couldn’t see anything worth staying up for.

I love how you call them the princesses.... and you are so lucky to be able to have a birds eye view of those baby birds... they are adorable!
The trouble is, watching the baby birds makes me want to get some little chicks really badly. I mean I have the space.. .. ..!
I can think of 1 hen in particular...........But some hens just are more equal than others Ali!
I'm going to have to fight MJ for Phyllis! I need another bird with a topknot to keep Alice company!I will let her know. She will love that.
