Where did you get that clear grommeted plastic that you are using diagonally under the eaves?

Well, the good news is the forecast high this weekend is 70+ degrees warmer than now. The bad news.....it's -36F. In other good news, the wood stove is doing its job...WELL!

Stopped on my way to work to take this

Found several of the boys hunkered down under the heat lamp this morning, Thing perched above it and All protested me opening the coop to bring in food and water. They better drink while it's liquid.

How is your hip doing? Seems you are being quite active with the chooks and their housing. Hope you aren't overdoing it!

@Ponypoor I do hope you are feeling better - especially as Christmas approaches - nice to have a decent day of no sore throat, headaches, yuck feelings!

@RebeccaBoyd I hope you have finally caught up with the pain meds regarding pain. STOP trying to stretch it out! I hope evil momma hen makes it through this storm and cold snap. I just love her and would hate for anything to happen. Wind and wet are the worst for them...it was hard to see for sure by the picture - is she under the lip of the rock enough to stay reasonably dry?

I know I am missing someone who is under the weather - I apologize, and am not intentionally snubbing you.

So, She used to have postcards of this when I was a youngster fresh IN college. I bought every pack I could find...this is so me.

Yesterday's photo shoot

Peanut and Hazel. Peanut's hairdo is quite interesting. She has an island of fluff up there making a little bump. When she raises and fluffs her head and neck feathers you can really see it but it happens too quickly to get a picture.

Here's a closer look at it. She was eating snow from my boots...

Butters being not very impressed. She is having a soft molt.

Hazel and Popcorn, transfixed by the flash on the camera which seems to be on. Popcorn usually won't stay that still.
