I really wish I had weather like @fuentemoon's right now. After heavy winds and temperatures in the teens (and below zero at night), I'm ready to warm up. Today will be 30 F and from Thursday to next Monday, they say that weather will be in the 50's, which I'm excited for but not so excited for because that's going to progressively change over the next few days. The poor chicken's water keeps freezing up, so we're using a black tub to prevent freezing.
I think I picked the wrong state to live in... but then again... maybe not because some states get somewhat cold during the summer and don't have to experience hurricanes like Florida and earthquakes like California (sorry Alex) and wherever else. I'm that one person who loves all hot and no cold.
A lot of chicken and cat photos. I won't use funny captions this time around.

Slender butts on them, just like Lark and Indigo

Sadly the little roo was killed shortly after Thanksgiving. Something came through and got him and several hens.

This fine fellow is the father to Maizie, Pippa (she has a twin there without the cheeks), Whiskey, and KrenView attachment 3358970

Some of the rest of the flock. The hen in the bottom pic on the roost is marked just like Whiskey and Kren.View attachment 3358971View attachment 3358972
I like how they are all staying under the heat lamp -smart! Hope my gang are smart enough to use the sweeter heater I bought.

I also got to see these beautiesView attachment 3358973The hen behind him (I've forgotten his name) is a chatty Cathy.
Oh they are lovely 😊 I would like to have turkeys - but guess I will have to just enjoy the wild ones here. Mum would have a fit if I got turkeys!

I agree with regarding the weather, I appreciate hot humid weather when I get it during the summer.
