I know how your brothers girlfriend feels, my scan is tuesday so I cant wait. Fortunately I can see the scan results online. My digestive dr appt is may 3rd but I will have to take her the scan and results because she cant see them. I only eat yogurt soup cereal and plain salad. Everything heavy hurts my stomach and makes me sick. I went from weighing 172 down to 143. Ive lost soo much weight
I will definatly start to cuddle that frizzle splash. He is just so darn cute!

I found the chick starter I bought was too big for the little Ones to eat and they were hungry, I then gave them the stuff I already had and they went mad for it! Smaller crumbles and they just likes it better.

Not sure what to do with a whole bag of chick starter now! Might mix it wil the hens ration to get rid of it.

Or, as they get bigger, mix it in with the current bag of starter. In a couple (2 to 3) weeks, they will be so much bigger that they might be fine with the larger crumbles.

Again, in a couple of weeks, mix some in with what you are feeding now, and if they eat it, great! Keep doing it. If not, then whatever is in it, they don't like.

they need really warm housing as chicks, mine are in my feed room which is heated to 19c during the day (at night I lower it to 17c as they are sleeping under the brooder plate), they have the brooder plate to hang out under any time they want where it’s dark and warm and safe.

But if it isn’t warm when they are not under the brooder plate they will get chilled quickly.

I spent 2 nights up with that one chick last week, making sure she drank and ate. Round the clock every couple hrs. They are like human babies. You are mama hen you need to make sure they have everything she would supply.

I have to go to Edmonton for my exam today, I can't stay here or take the chick along with me. Survival of the fittest, I guess She was my favorite chick. And she looked so cool, she had yellow fluff but was growing dark feathers.
