My feathered friend Coco, jumped up on the railing of the patio. She wanted (first)
Whatever I was serving out. I brought her inside for some special treats. After all, she is my afternoon cup of Coco! :old

I had an Exchequer Leghorn - was supposed to be a pullet, but turned out to be a roo. He had a lot of black also, but had that gloriously large leghorn comb! (only the hens' are floppy...) He was a gorgeous boy...I rehomed him with one of my pullets from that groups as someone wanted to get a roo (she had 8 older hens (2-4y.o.) I just didn't think it was fair for him to be in quarantine all alone, which is why I sent one of 'his girls' with him.

I asked for $5, what I was charged for her/him as a chick. When she came and picked up the 2, she gave me 40 for the pair (the pullet was a FBCM) - they were about 10 wks old. He has grown into a fine gentleman! :)

Anyway, I digress. The amount of black/white varies just like anything else. If you have a brother or sister - are their hair color exactly the same color as yours?

The pictures below are all Exchequer leghorns. Note the wide variation in black to white ratio.

regardless, Josey is gorgeous!
Is a lot of black good or bad? Should Exchequer be mostly white with some black or mostly black with some white.
Or should it be pretty even.
