There is now chicken wire going up to defend the blueberries from the little raptors. I know that I cannot trust them. I do expect that they will get most of the blueberries though. How will I turn down their little faces when I'm picking them?
My BIL gave me a bunch of wooden frames which are 30” x 67”, I am thinking of stapling some chicken wire onto the frame and placing it to help keep my pole beans safe.

Only problem is those pole beans will certainly twine around to chicken wire if I don’t watch it closely! Hmmmm might need to rethink that also.

I did some repairs to the garden frame and had to dig out around it. There were worms galore for anyone willing to scratch around a little.

Hattie was willing.........all day!
Awww we all love Miss Hattie ❤️❤️❤️

She is such a lovely girl a very pretty hen 💕

I need to win the lottery so I can get some lavender Orpington ❤️

This was excellent design on your part. Well done! :clap :clap
I am happy that Mr P can sleep better - he stretches out and snuggles with the gals - usually Sophia.

I am happy that most of the squabbling has stopped, Rose dares to sleep with Blanche and Penelope, it’s not too high for the silkies, and a good height for me to clean.

Now if I can just get them to stop fighting over nest boxes!

A Fun Pairing
These two are spending more time together.

That will never happen. 😆

That’s wonderful! They do look very comfortable together. I find the dynamics between everyone really interesting; as I have stated before there is no really chain of command with my group. And there isn’t any real bottom of the group hen. Only Penelope is the true “Queen Bee” no one pecks at her and I rarely ever see her chasing or pecking anyone. Actually I have never seen her do that come to think of it. And no one has ever tried to peck her.

I can see that with your girls - Aurora might be your top gal but I see collaboration at times with your ladies.
