Of course. At night though. They do that because eggs mean, "This place is safe to lay my egg in." Did you notice that the hens usually lay in nest boxes that have eggs in them?

I figured. Bob would know as well.
I’m still catching up on last weeks synopsis, but this looks great! The Guineas have a new home. All that's remaining is to put wheels on it which my friend is going to give me.View attachment 3471399View attachment 3471400
Hey RebeccaYou know the handbook "The Way Of The Chicken". In the section on incubating eggs it clearly states 21 days to hatch. My girls read it, tossed it over their backs and said "Hold my Beer." Day 19 does not officially start until 8pm tonight, about a hour and a half away. Momma hen had one internally pipped 3 hours ago. Holly, has one externally pipped.
Oh, Kelly. Dare I ask how this little one is doing? @PonypoorWee one is still here, I gave her more sugar water which she did drink, she has been out pecking at the feed, I have been breaking the crumbles into smaller pieces. She is still very unsteady on her legs, but I have seen her even picking through the bedding for heaven knows what - spilled feed..? And she drank some regular water.
As always I will keep an eye on her.
That was an oldie carI figured. Bob would know as well.
Kelly, I am envious that you have room for all those checks. That is so awesome. I’m planning get four and that’s probably my max to add to my seven. I’ve been up to two more than that before, and since I don’t have as much space as you, I try not to keep them too crowded. The three new chicks (black ones) with the first chicks

So May 16th? That day will come before you know it!31 days till I get mine.
Yup, a lot of them do. I make my own Greek style yogurt, and drain a lot of whey out of it. It's thick enough to hold a spoon upright... even when you turn the jar upside down.
Lots of uses for the whey too. It's great for making mash for the chickens, and acid loving plants like blueberries love it.
