Foggy Start

It is a foggy start to the day at Fluffy Butt Acres. They are locked in the complex this morning because Sansa was ill behaved at roosting last night. She has clearly been taking lessons from Lilly because she was all Lilly last night at roosting time.

She went around last night throwing both Sydney and Phyllis off the roost and out of the coop. Not surprisingly none of the other 3 tried to calm her down.

So now they need to spend some time together without green grass. Not that it will change anything but it makes me feel better.

Same goes for the time I lost my temper with Gaby and pushed her off the perch so she'd stop being mean to one of the chooks.

Boy, talk about ruining your calgon moment....literally having 'chicks under foot'....and under body!

Momma's seem fine with it, though - bless their dear hearts. You know, as much as I love kids and chicks, I'm not sure I would have the patience for them being constantly underfoot and under wings for the first few weeks!

Oh these two are more trouble than the three chicks I raised myself. They are 100 percent integrated into the flock other than night roosting.

Meanwhile those two mamas and 4 chicks are stressful! Mamas keep threatening and fighting the others and them fighting with them.

Sheesh!

Hattie is not all fluff. In fact she has no fluff at all. Those are sleek feathers. That is how big she is.
