In your area I'd definitely be more worried about eastern diamondbacks and cottonmouths. When I lived near Albany, GA I killed several diamondbacks over 4 feet long and one that was almost the width of a highway lane, I almost wrecked my POS car when I hit that one.
I don't wanna jinx myself, but so far we've not seen any if those. Just Timbers, Pygmys, Cottonmouths, and a Coral snake. For the VENOMOUS ones. Don't get me started on the non-venomous ones.
Or do... I love talking about snakes... and snakes in general!

Snake talk need photos both of you for tax 😊

Lice? I think. She got them while I was away. Pastel was not in either them for two weeks while I was gone. Splotch has small shoulder wounds. And Splotch is getting a bare stomach. I'm getting worried about them.
What makes you think lice ? And that the lice caused wounds ?

Ok I will catch up in the morning I am heading to sleep my arm is sore tonight 😊

Gah, fine!!
Splotch says Happy Fluffy Butt Friday!
She and Bolt got into an argument today. They started facing off and chest bumping. It was quite surprising. Bolt is lower than Splotch and BBQ in the pecking order. Splotch is the tough Alpha who keeps everyone in place.

It's been a while now she's run from Manny every chance she got. At least I thought it was Manny...but Meanie is always with Manny or following close behind. Maybe she's living up to her name and picking on Eenie? I don't know what she child have scraped on that the others wouldn't have. I suppose she may have run under something in a panic.

Yeah...we actually cover the food at night. They are VERY bold. And they love the nesting boxes. I've had to stop them from doing their own nesting.

Tomorrow I'm redoing my Bucket of Death ( the Bucket trap) to try to get rid of some more.
If you've got (or can get) some of those little box live traps (the metal ones), you could leave them in the coop. The chickens can't get into them and they're easy to bait with a dob of peanut butter and cracked corn stuck inside it.

These things.

I use a bucket trap, too. However, if I need to trap mice where the chickens can go, I use these instead so the chickens don't take all the bait.

Goodnight!
I think that it is lice because I saw little tan pests on everyone. I showed my mom and she looked it up. She said lice. There may be mites, but I'm not sure.
And the reason I say that the lice caused it is because I don't know what else could have.
