I"m sorry to hear this Greg! You and Lety did everything you could.

This heat/weather is terrible, and takes such a toll on our animals.

This may seem like an odd question, but do you think your naked necks handle the heat a little better? Was wondering if the exposed skin of the necks is enough to help them cope or not???

I've never lost a naked neck to heat. Only lost one to an infection. They seem to be hardy. Goldie is still good. Putting out eggs every other day. Cholo 4 turned out to be a pullet so at least Goldie is not getting hassled by a roo.
