I have, monopoly, game of life, clue, mousetrap. And casino games galore.I am surprised there is no game bird feed. Do people not raise game birds?
Edit - looks like you found some. You can mix it with a lower % protein feed to get what you want.
I had two or three telemarketers call me! I used your funny little trick. I hung up after I said "Hello, this is SeaWorld, and this call may be recorded for training porpoises. "I believe that today was a successful one. I did everything that I needed to do. Did the things that I wanted to do. And only had four telemarketers call me. (Who I messed with)![]()
The chooks are all quiet in the coop (probably stuffed with spaghetti)
I suppose I should worry more about the calcium. Here's the all-flock labelI want a lower calcium around 1% but a higher protein around 20%.
I bought the Purina Gold'N start & Grow crumbles and it was pure dust, it had the values I wanted (calcium at .85, protein 20%).
I now have the Optical 16% Chick Grower course crumble but the protein is only 16%, calcium is 0.87%.
I do have a high protien supplement here, at 36% protein, but the calcium is 7% so I try not to feed much of it - I add it to the mash.
Guess I will just wait till everyone is laying age and go back to the layer ration, and hope Mr P is ok with that....![]()
I'd go with the all flocks. The protein difference may not seem much. But it will make a difference and the calcium difference is significant. If you're already doing calcium on the side, then is worth it.I suppose I should worry more about the calcium. Here's the all-flock labelView attachment 3607052

I have just been feeding layer. It's practically all you can find around here.
The feeders are too high for the littles to get to for now.
Next bag I get I'll make sure. Husband picked up the last one and the owner of the feed store always gives you layer unless you double check and make a fuss.I'd go with the all flocks. If you have grasshoppers. Catch with a jar. Collect a bunch (keep adding to a bigger jar). Dump the hoppers in the coop and enjoy the mayhem. The chooks (all of them) will enjoy the extra protein.Next bag I get I'll make sure. Right now the triplets are too little to reach the layer feed.
