Sorry you're in this position. I didn't see a "no roos" and even less hens coming, sorry your mom isn't into it. I suppose though as our parents and elders age we can't ask as much help of them. Any chance you can instead take your chickens to your new location, are you in an urban area? Then you'd have to arrange help for only one week a month when you're East.
I live in a camp when I am working, so nope no chance to take them along.

Also work 12 HR days 21 days straight so no time for anything but sleep work eat.

Happy Hatch Day, Bunny!
Are you going to hatch on the couch again, by any chance?
No, no, no, no, and no. Actually Bunny is a angel right now, showing no hints of going broody at the moment. The couch pictures was from a year and a half ago. Actually now that I think about it, Bunny has not been broody this year.

How lovely. She has really grown with your care and support. Can she eat at all by herself?
No, she is not able to eat at all on her own. She can drink, but not eat..and she can only drink if it is deep enough (I have a rubber 1 gal. dish in her coop/run complex so she can).

This is a permanent position, correct.... not a seasonal one? will be nice to have a steady income, I bet!

My sweet cross beak girl. She won't let me pick her up (I have to get her after dark to bring her in to give her her evening feeding) But when I am out & about & they are free ranging, if I start talking to her, she comes running over and hovers about until I stop chatting. She just pulls my heart strings! 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰
Aww that looks painful... but she looks so much better! She is so sweet

Bob was right about the chattering Kathys.
Anyways... Here's a Mugshot Monday for you all.
