I dare not show that creeping spider on my iPhone screen to the chooks, they would peck at it and damage my device.

Yeah, I really want my hens to take a break and have some R&R. I'm just ready to have "real" eggs again, not store eggs.I don’t mind them taking a break in fact I am happy they do take a break. They can rebuild their calcium supply in their bones, moult and get new feathers for keeping warm, and just relax and not worry about about laying eggs in nest boxes.
Me either, when it comes to alcohol. I make homemade kombucha, but the amount is negligible.I don't drink.
I have a wood chuck digging into my compost pile. I bet he goes 3' down...Bury under the compost pile (like, 3' down below grade, plus a few feet of compost on top of that.
I guzzle kombucha. And drink water. It was in reference to his Wine. I don't imbibe. I do, however, guzzle H2O.
I make my bone broth in an Instant Pot. 2 hours, and it's done. Hubby hates the smell, so I only do it when he's not here. If I did it on the woodstove, I think he'd throw it out and deal with the consequences.I have a question regarding bone broth. I hope it doesn't come out offensive. It's not a thing here, but even if it was, the cost of gaz or electricity to boil broth for ten hours would only make it worth it if you had at least five liters of broth. It would be about the cost of a good rotisserie chicken, to give a reference. So now i’m wondering if energy is cheaper in the US , if you have special bone broth kitchen appliances that use less energy, or if it's something so incredible that it's worth the bill ?
I could imagine doing it on the wood stove..on a very cold day where we would keep it going all day long...
They have been at a great feast of languages, and stol'n the scrapsThey are very intelligent.
And yet I bet your husband loves homemade soup made from that stockI was busy all day, and now I need to quote from a bunch of posts.

I have no idea how much power my Instant Pot takes to make a batch of broth.
He's not much of a soup eater. When I make soup, it's usually something for me, like lentil soup, which he wouldn't touch with a ten foot spoon. He has asked me why I want to eat something that looks like dog barf. Gee, honey, thanks...And yet I bet your husband loves homemade soup made from that stock
