The horses are paying.....the chickens for the feed...Sold 6 dozen eggs, made $25, feed paid for, for the next few weeks
Next week might makes enough to pay for some rootin tootin horse feed, the horses need to start making me some money! at least the chickens like their ‘road apples’![]()
They do. That's why they stand 1 foot so they can tuck the other up in feathers to warm. They also rest in clear patches (like under the trees or on branches) or go back in the coop to warm up. They spent a good chunk of the afternoon sunbathing. Then we got the new cords run so have power in the coop again: heat source and water won't freeze. You’d think that their feet would get cold![]()
It is wonderful to have another white hen.She was such a beauty - the quintessential hen
I am so glad you have Glynda, nothing like a nice white hen![]()
Nothing to apologize for. Thank you for the comforting thoughts.Sorry, I thought she passed today.I didn't read the year, just the date.
But hugs for her fond memory.

Hopefully some cats piled in to help.I got really chilled today too - it isn't really that cold, but the contrast to a few days ago really got to me.
I need to find gloves and warm hats and stuff. In the meantime I am going to bed to warm up.
Awwwww all dressed up and no were to goPoor Grandma. Last year she passed out candy to trick or treaters and her owner really wanted to bring her out for trick or treating again but the other owner said no. Grandma was a lucky chicken for staying past her bedtime for nothing but children wearing costumes, talking and grabbing candy.
She had her costume ready for nothing.

I think they have some sort of secret meetings going on between all of them, they are colluding! The horses are paying.....the chickens for the feed...![]()
They will. Just give them time. They will come together. It would be nice if, once the Spuds start laying, they might be more accepted and hang out with them more closely
