So glad Twirp seems to be on the mend.

She even decided to roost tonight. She's up next to the Invasion. Pear settled with them too. Hector hopped up there, but I don't think he's going to stay there. He's usually over in the opposite corner. Pippa was there and feeling stand-offish. Whiskey chose the high roost.

She has me very worried, she has been on and off laying soft eggs; yesterday and today she laid soft eggs.

I feel like I should be giving her calcium, but what dose for a wee silkie? I have those small calcium carbonate 650mg pills. Is that too much for her?

Ok so after much back and forth, back and forth… I decided I would let Henny Penny try to hatch out some eggs.

After inspecting Henny and how much surface area she could cover I decided that I would give her 3 Marty, and one each of Curly, Fluffy, and of course Penelope’s egg.

I just love that 'breast wiggle" that broody girls do to settle the eggs under them. So cute to watch that

This is Sophia’s colouring. And she is the only one I have with wattles not sure if that means anything as Mr P has wattles - can those be passed along when combined along a hen with no wattles and no comb?
