I am still sad none of her eggs developed 😟
So am I. It is not surprising though, Mr P is molting, I think she is molting somewhat as well. Fertility also drops off this time of year. 2 eggs developing is a blessing really. This just gives you a excuse to allow one group of chicks to be hatched next spring. All Marty eggs, that way odds are increased for the hopefully 1 pullet.

Hahahaha 6 eggs and get 1 pullet with my luck!! Ha!

I am looking forward to seeing these two eggs hatch, guess next Friday maybe have some chicks if I am lucky. Hope for two pullets.

I am going to get them gender dna tested so I know right off what their gender is no guessing this time!

Can I put it out there that you could be experiencing some ‘menopause’ issues… I’ll PM you …. So the squeamish guys don’t get all :sick :gig
Menopause? I went through that with my X wife. No more men just pause! :barnie
She’s an X for good reason!

I assume field corn must be tougher than sweet corn? When I have grown sweet corn they has no problem tearing it off the cob.
It is much tougher. My mom got sweet corn from the dairy farm where my brother worked. One ear of field corn was included by mistake. My step dad told her not to throw it out, cook it, and he'd eat it. He took one bite and changed his mind.

@Ponypoor, you have such lovely handwriting! :)
Cursive isn’t taught in school anymore. I used to send letters through the mail to my nieces written in cursive hahahaha.

Sort of like making them use those old rotary dial phones 😆

Ok so don’t worry he isn’t dead… but he was sound asleep in the sun, Mr P face down in the dirt 😆

@BeastBaby

Well Butterscotch has laid her first egg - well second really, the other day I thought she laid an egg, but it was pink and looked like a Silkie egg. BUT, today I did catch her in the act, so I am calling todays egg the first - and it’s a pinkish-light brown colour.

Totally threw me for a loop, as I have no idea now who her egg mum is - maybe Rose? Who lays a tan coloured egg…? And was really eggspectimg another blue one after the ones that Muffy has been laying.

Marty, Fluffy and Butterscotch’s eggs
