No, quite the opposite. It is forecast to be 60/16 mid next week - which is totally ridiculous.
Today got up to the high 40s but because it gets very cold at night the snow is being very slow to melt. I think the last of it came off the roof this afternoon but there is still plenty on the ground.
We had a lot of rain last night and the snow is gone. The chickens are using the soggy mud to assist them in destroying any grass that is still alive.

Hmmm we haven’t even had it that chilly here overnight! How wild is that?!

They are calling for and early start to fire season,, so burn bans, etc will be in Place likely first of March.
I can't believe it hasn't been that cold there. That's pretty wild. Burn bans in advance are smart.

I'm trying to find those happy memories.
I was trying to decide to delete all the photos of Pretty Boy. Floyd. I deferred that decision to another day…. I have such sadness about him. This is why I am so worried about Bert. What if. He and Mr P start fighting ? 🥲

It very dry here - we have had only 3 snowfalls and each time it melted within a week or so. The farmers are already whining about soil moisture.

Mum is of the opinion that next year it will be a brutal cold winter!

There is no grass next to the coop right now. It's like they are taking being locked up by the snow personally.
And wow can ever move dirt! Can’t they! I have to stop letting them up on mount poopmore they have been kicking all the manure piled up, down and spreading it around, generally making a mucky mess..

Ok all, I am off to slumber land - hopefully my cough med keeps me sleeping soundly 😊
