She was a complete idiot when she got into the net. Running back and forth getting caught up instead of going sideways and getting out.

Fortunately I have taught her to hold still when I say "hold on" so she stopped and waited for me to get her out of the netting before she tore it all down again.
Awwwww sweet wee little moggy 😊 she just wanted to help her Hooman 💕❤️

What is this - lacing?

Looks like double laced, bit not sure if there is an exact term for it as she looks more black ground color with buff or wheaten lacing....
Misty
Blue? The edges of her feathers seem dark edged

Blue usually has a darker edge to the feathers
Also blue with some dark edges feathers, her head feathers are red mixed.

The red is leakage, otherwise she is blue (like Lark and Indigo)
Little Grey
Is much lighter with a darker head and neck, and her feathers are more dark edged, would she be lavender?

I think she's still blue. Just lighter shade.
Then there is Piglet who is supposedly Opal or Isabel. I am not sure if those are the same thing. But I think maybe she is lavender?
She also has a bully gene which is definitely dominant!

She has the ground color that matches a cream crested legbar (salmon breast, other color head/back/wings: roos would be black breasted instead of salmon), but with a lavender wash. Going back to the page I linked this morning, the Partridge COLOR (not feather pattern) one is similar on a gold base (brown leghorn hens do this) but Black breasted Red also fits the brown leghorn (roo, any way). Twirp fits into those as well, on a silver base. Either way, I think Opal refers to a lavender wash on one (or more of those bases). Porcelain is another that looks like the lavender wash on a color base of some sort. @RoyalChick your description of Hattie as a black bird with the lavender fading out the black (in a different manner from black/blue/splash) is spot on. I think the same concept applies to both Opal and Porcelain colors, applied to different base colors.

I loved Prime Suspect.
Top of the Lake detective - Robin Griffin (Elisabeth Moss).
OK I am definitely showing my age here :
The Avengers - Emma Peel (Diana Rigg)
Get Smart - (Agent) 99
The Mod Squad - Julie Barnes (Peggy Lipton)

Oooooh, Miss (or was it Mrs?) Peel and Miss Marple....both feisty! Hmmmm. My list of names keeps growing! This is good. Hopefully personalities shine through, and names match up.

The ones with contrasting edging are laced.

Penelope is partridge marked. With partridge coloring, the main feather color (here black) is on the outside of the feather, the contrasting color forms the next layer, then base then contrasting color again, then usually rest is base color. There are 2 variations on it if I remember correctly. I do not know what it is called when it isn't brown, though - but those are the same patterns as partridge marking.

@rural mouse knows or can find all RE: feather patterning/coloring
I was also thinking it might be pencilling - like a dark brahma.

Me too.
Pan, Tilt, and Zoom. One of them eats from a pan, the other one has a tail that tilts, and the other one zooms around the yard so fast the shutter on your phone can't close in time to snap a photo.
I'm pretty sure I had zoom........

….and they will lord it over me that they can lay eggs and feed the country! I am just a mere Hooman!

I am looking at getting a trio of Midnight Majesty Marans, 30th April is the first deliver date for up here. If I am lucky I will have some broody pullets - maybe Tippy or Butterscotch, they keep looking for strange places to lay eggs!

Get down you two!

Shep says "Yes! Midnight Majesty Marans are the best, softest, peepiest chickens and we lay dark brown eeggs. Glossy feathers, gentle eyes, and feathery legs! What's not to love? You won't be disappointed!"
