If he has forgotten leave him be.

My dear George. He is not crowing, he is not aggressive. He is an idiot though right now through and through. He attacks his reflection in the mirror and is showing interest in the girls. He has yet to figure out that one does not introduce oneself or woo a lady by charging up to her and chest bumping. I swear I will not interfere when lessons are taught. George is going to make me eat those words I just know it the little idiot.
By “Charging her and chest bumping” always works for me.
It’s how I get dates from women!

Hi! I've only been reading posts. It seems like all of your chooks are doing very well, and I see that we have two new members!

How are Mr LC and Mr P?
Mr Little Chicken is one of two old English game bird bantams I got at the feed store (bought in from Hoovers).

One is a cockerel and one a pullet

They are so tiny they sit in my hand!

Mr P - he’s the same old Roo I have had all along.

Next week will be busy! I pick up another batch of meat birds (who will be kept separated from the main flock), the three hens my mother in law bought, and...well we get a new little guy too :3
Have you had Cornish Cross meat birds before? Our friends got a dozen meat chicks that they kept indoors to raise & they grew so fast they moved them to a separate enclosure outdoors. They grow so fast & heavy they barely move. Predators were able to kill 3 of them thru the cage wires as the chicks rested supporting themselves on the wire, & others died naturally so by 6 weeks there were only 5 birds left to process. So sad. They said their mistake was treating the chicks like normal chicks but CX'S are more delicate so they dont get them any more. They prefer processing standard surplus roo's, tom turkeys, or ganders now.

Ah! Your thinking of an Alberta clipper - snow makers 😊

Canada - other than the street signs etc, the plants and terrain are just like the US, except the very south of the US (palm trees ♥️), and extreme north of Canada (snow and ice 😣).

Lots of chickens here 😁

I will never get cornish cross. Their existence is inhumane. They break legs, have heart attacks, and cannot breathe in hot weather.
These are surplus cockerels from a nearby farm, dual purpose mixed breeds.
We raised "california white" and barred rocks as a kid, had a buff orpington as well that was gifted because she was bullied and she was delicious.
