You can’t be responsible for anyone but yourself first and foremost. Take care of yourself so you can take care of your chooks, then your job.

As for those who live in such a manner, know that mental health and addiction is not a new thing, and one needs to ask for help and want help before they can get help. Sometimes they never get to that point. That is not your responsibility. All you can do is as you say, pray for them.

You must always take care of yourself first so that you will be of use to others, such as your chooks.

Kelly damn it. I’m right here in the middle of homelessness in California, and I can’t even do anything about that because the government that I have worked for so long, only has room in their hearts for the pension fund they have to mature. Makes me crazy, and wonder why I have been so fortunate!

Ours usually do too. Some take longer, and it goes on for weeks. I've not interceded much, and if I have, it's only because one is insanely violent and blood is being drawn. Then my interceeding was done with a 20-gauge.

What I should do is make another pen for the 3 nutters - but I don’t want to do that.

Have you tried posting them on Facebook in a poultry group for where you are? Otherwise, sometimes Craigslist works, sometimes it doesn't. Just post in the farm area there if you do.

As I said - your main responsibility is to yourself, you stay healthy and mobile for your chooks, and you friends and family. You are not your brothers keeper.

Tomorrow is the last day for antibiotics for Miss Laverne, I will take another photo of her face then. It’s still white where it was swollen, but it has definitely gone down.

Nope! A neighbor took Lucifer and renamed him. She put him with her Brahmas. He learned to ride.

The other two satanic roosters are history. I don't want to pass those genes on to my flock or anyone else's. One murdered a hen and was in process of killing another.

You would laugh at Mr Little Chicken - his attempts at breeding the big hens is just so funny! He hops up, shimmies back and tries to aim the goods - not sure if he is even successful, then he slides down their wings to dismount hahaha.

And he marches off like a big shot. Such a goof!
