I don't know anyone who says that right, "clothesline," as we all say "closeline".Yep, kids don't know...
For the word CLOTHES I would say CLOSE...

I have a joke for this, but it’s too rude. I will abstain for nowI don't know anyone who says that right, "clothesline," as we all say "closeline".
Sherlock update: toenail will fall off and regrow. More active he is, fhe faster that will happen. Use cone if needed to protect foot and if bleeds, gauze and co-flex. Otherwise leave alone. Ok. Can do.
Cats & birds wear cones too. We had a cockatiel rescue that plucked himself bald so I made a cone out of milk container plastic. He became quite agile climbing in & out of his cage w/ that cone on him.Oh, the dreaded cone of shame!I have had dogs myself.
On TV & in movies I'll hear the soft TH pronounced in CLOTHES. It's subtle.I don't know anyone who says that right, "clothesline," as we all say "closeline".
She was a real beautyGood to hear that vet assessment!
We had a Black Silkie that would be so agitated at laying an egg she would scratch the nestbox w/ such vehemence she tore toenails & a couple toes off her feet, blood everywhere. Rushed her to the vet & he said the toe that ripped off & other half-toe & nails ripped would heal & not hinder her walking. Of course she was bandaged & we kept her indoors till she healed.
Meanwhile we got plexiglass inserts for the nestboxes so she wouldn't splinter any more toes in the wooden nestboxes. She was always agitated laying an egg from her very 1st lay. 6 years later we had to put her down at the vet for a bleeding ovarian tumor.
