I am very much enjoying everyone’s camaraderie, and of course seeing everyone’s gorgeous chooks and other pets.

She would out of luck over there! She was finding something tasty, but a golden lab lives at that house!

She started limping last spring. She cannot dorsally flex her right foot. I assumed it was a torn ligament or something. But it’s gotten worse.

That’s great for them! I love your sunroom - I was thinking of doing something like that for n the west side where the doors are, build a sort of covered area that in the summer I can remove the covering. You have given me a great idea for a place to lounge in.

Do you give Brig any pain meds? I have a few here of the oldsters that get something at night.

Did you every figure out what happened to her?

Sometimes I put Bridge on aspirin and CBD. I can’t tell if it helps. I thought it was an injury, and it keeps getting worse. She really does not want to put weight on it. There may be a second injury on that side.

As luck would have it, my DS stopped by for a surprise visit & helped us eat the massive veggie loaf Bless men...I've never known a man to refuse a dinner invitation teehee!

I've seen wild bird rescues where vet's operate or fix these types of injuries cuz birds rely on their legs, wings, beaks for everything... but I shudder to think what it would cost for a domestic vet treatment ?

One of my Lavender Orpingtons from Peavey Mart was found outside the run this morning. She was sopping wet. I brought her inside and blowdried her. Now she is back in the run.

You must have to be a very resourceful person living so far from everywhere...do you have any nearby goodly neighbors around you?
