Grandma made a quiche the other day. It. Was. AMAZIIINNNGGGG!!!

A while back I finally blew out Sybil's speckled egg that she laid pretty early on. It went perfectly, and then of course as I went to show my grandma I dropped it on the kitchen floor 😐 LOL but the shell was so thick that it cracked but didn't break, and I modpodged it

Not bad for my first time, I think.
I love your creativity & talents ❣️
BTW ~ DH made a quiche again right now! Love them for breakfast lunch dinner or anytime! So hard waiting for it to cool down before cutting into it!

NO!

My propane tank stands about 4’ at the top. It had almost 3’ of snow on top of it. I dug a path from the laneway to the tank through 3’ of snow.

I also cleared the path from the house to the barn lane, and made a path to the generator and cleared around it, and the StarLink dish.

I have yet to clear the manure pile path or the barn doors. Or cleaned the trucks…. And tonight and tomorrow it’s back to lake effect snow squalls - 30 to 60cm called for.

Then Tuesday another Colorado low with more snow - and all I can think about is how Rebecca is getting on 😢

Snow I can deal with flooding is whole other thing.

It is amazing anytime someone survives disaster ~ it was a miracle for this one young guy. For myself ~ I stay out of oceans, rivers, or lakes. That's just me.
As a Newfoundlander the sea is in our soul. My parents threw us into the water as small kids and we learnt how to swim real fast!

Boating sailing. Fishing. Did it all.

My fun thing was to hang off the boat as dad sailed along and get dragged along. Don’t let go! Or you had to tread water while he came about so we could grab hold and get dragged again😊 I grew up on fresh water, but I have swam in salt water too. The smell of brine, yep it’s something you are born with maybe.

To each their own, we all have a collective of experiences that make us all unique and valuable with this knowledge. It would be a boring place without everyone being different!

Just look at all our pets! Everyone of them has a different personality, and that’s what make them so much fun.

This person was paddling through a shoal of small fish or krill I bet, the whale scoops them up and strains the water from its mouth then swallows the meal. Can you imagine how much they must eat to survive?!

Anyways the kayak and guy would be a foreign object in it mount and would be immediately spat out. Their throat is only the size of a fist.

He wouldn’t have been far under either as the whale would be feeding at the surface.

I find it surprising that those two didn’t see the whales feeding, it’s not like they are hard to miss! Here one must stay a certain amt of space from any whale, seal or other marine animal feeding, moving or sleeping in the water. Hefty fines if one is caught ‘harassing’ them.

It’s a whale of a tale!
