Yes, Halloween was not the same this year, our daughter's family did do it as people in her neighborhood set up tables for the kids and watched from afar. From her pictures, it looked like it went well.

Sorry you didn't have a bigger turnout, but maybe most people just decide to not do it this year . As long as the kids had fun, I guess that's what matters.

Bob has always been the one to do the candy handing out and interacting with the kids, I spend all day with them and would rather not in the evening as well. I think he's getting used to not having trick or treaters anymore.

In one year, (a heartbreaking time) my chicken numbers, went from fifteen down to five.
In one year the social dynamics of group functions, ie church and civic groups, dwindled to practically nothing. Masks are a normal accessory now. (Even if some people, still won't believe or accept the necessity for them). "That was run on sentence, wasn't it"? Oh well, We all must make due, and persevere !
