Happy Birthday to your little one. I hope she has a wonderful day.

Wow that is a early crower. The earliest I have had one crow was Drummie at 5 weeks. Most of mine do not make a peep until around 7 to 8 weeks of age. George was 4 1/2 months when he started crowing. He was just over 5 months when I was able to catch it for the first time. He is still a relatively quiet boy. He crows in the morning, and then maybe a few times throughout the day. The silkie boys, well, they have a lot to say all day.
It must be true that Silkie boys never shut up. The one Silkie cockerel we had crowed about every 15 minutes or more. Sad decision we had to give the gentleman loudmouth back! He was so sweet in every other way & let the girls go 1st all the time.

It's good advice. I'm not tied to a physician, but there are none available in my area. Any of the ones available right now are down in Vancouver or up in Olympia. I'm half way in between. :idunno

There are areas outside of Vancouver that would work, and that's the direction I would have to move. My oncologist is in Portland and that's one doctor I would not trade. His specialty is my rare form of cancer.

But, 16 chickens, including 2 roosters, will not be easy to move no matter where we go. Trading them in for an easier city breed is not an option. We are quite fond of the chickens we have. :love

Okay, now I have to find a photo.

Have I shared this photo of one of the Australorps? As I've said before, I just call them Wordy, Birdie and Gertie, all at the same time because I do not know who is who. And also like I said, it doesn't matter. They don't come if I call anyway. 🤣 They are all beauties.

And well fed I see!

FYI cracked is a Newfoundlander term for someone who is crazy, we would say ‘you must be cracked if you think I am doing that’, for instance if someone said they were going swimming in April and asked I also wanted to go swimming brrrr!

Another one is crooked - it means bad tempered, surly, grumpy…. We would tell someone being temperamental ‘you’re right crooked you know that’.
So that means the geese will think you're "cracked"?!
