I got some baby chicks for Ponypoor! I need to get some new satin silkies though, unless the blue-squad (Periwinkle, Navy, and Delft) take over as broody biscuits. I also have some cochins...but I've seen too many people say Marans are demon broodies

Wow let me finish my thought

Marans are demon broodies so I likely won't encourage them to sit unless they act sweetly. I lucked out with Samara and Morinth and they have me spoiled on how broodies ought to behave.

What are you planning to do Jenn? Throw the chicks over the fence into Canada, or take them by water and deliver them?

While it still sprinkles rain this month I'm letting the girls enjoy vacant garden bed #1 before planting parsnips & netting off the bed from them.

Garden bed #2 will soon be overgrown

My dad got it from a construction client. They were going to scrap it but he was like "I have grape vines I could use"
The style is "metal pergola" if that helps your search. We overlapped the side bars to make it smaller and the top are two bent pieces from my chicken run where the tarp collapsed it.

Just got back from dropping off my bf at the airport. I'm saaad, sad, sad... But we'll just pretend he's on a long trip and will be home again next year... For a week or 2.

He ADORED the girls and they were so interested in him! I should have gotten pictures. They accepted him immediately... And even squatted for him! Dirty cheaters!
