Ranger hen? She looks so much like a New Hampshire Red or a Rhode Island too.

She's a mystery mix of who-knows-what

I figured... she's one of my favorites too. Some storybook sample pics for my Sunday kids... they loved the Disney-esque drawings... I always put animals in the pics but couldn't figure how to incorporate chickens in a palace

No kitty pics, but took Sherlock on a long ish walk just before bed the other night. Castor decided to come along 75% of the distance....

"hey, guys, I'm taking all the furry beasts for a walk"

When Jaffarra started laying eggs I was very surprised to see her laying blue/green eggs! I would have though she would lay brown or maybe dark olive.

I love these crossbred and hybrid hens, one never knows what they are going to lay and what they will look like when grown.
