So far nope lol. I do have one hen with a dirty bum, my buff orp Butter. I hate to do it in winter, but that girl really needs a cleaning. Guess she gets to be a spoiled house chicken for a few hours one day this week. Not that she'd mind, can't leave the backdoor open in warm weather without her strolling in to say hi. If i let her have her way she lay on one of the saddle pads as that is where she makes a bee line for every single time.

It must be so hard to keep from interfering with it. I can feel my fingers twitching to lance that lump purely for my own gratification. I hope it either comes to a head or heals up entirely very soon . For all our sakes!

Tsuki is having a light moult and has lost her tail.

This summer when we hit some super hot days I made the ladies some frozen treats. I filled 8-10 oz containers lined with plastic wrap with a mix of canned corn, fresh berries, sunflower seeds, meal worms, a bit of cottage cheese. Like frozen flock blocks

Charlie and River are moulting too. It looks like they had a major scrap in the old henhouse!

There is something about when the coop is full of feathers that makes me giggle. I can't explain it.
