Neighbor update: she’s stable in hospital, but only relatives are in Utah . I’m flying out tomorrow morning to get her cousin. And bring her here. I’m sure that any of you would do the same. Never thought I would love someone so much to risk a flight over the Rockies, but I do, and I will!
God himself will reward me someday!

More botany! I Love it! They are quite beautiful as well. Any idea why it chose to bloom now? Has the weather been different?

We are certainly having a lot more rain than this time last year.
We had the loppers come in a few weeks ago to remove some branches so it is getting more light now, but I'm pretty sure the buds were already forming.
There is a lot of root competition from the tree it is planted under (a Japanese maple).
It's 3 sisters that were planted at the same time are still sulking. I might give them a feed of seaweed extract.

Where are my friends? I witnessed my neighbor friend go back to the hospital in an ambulance late last night. I’m very worried about her. And all her animals. Going to feed them now, but I’m very confused as to what to do next????
you peeps are my friends. Any ideas??

I haven't read ahead yet Alex but I hope you have had good news about your neighbour since this post. Supporting her on the home front by taking care of her animals will be a huge help to her as that's one thing she won't have to fret over knowing you are taking care of it.
When you visit, even if she doesn't seem "with it" talking quietly to her about how her animals are going and what you have been doing for them will probably be a very welcome bit of news.

You my friend, understand! Thank you she has no family. Husband passed 14 years ago. I’m all she has. And I’m only a neighbor. But I care for her, as I would you, if it came to that!

No. Just me as her neighbor

This might be an intrusive thing to ask, but if she wants you helping with medical things would she perhaps consider naming you next of kin or Power of Attorney? This would make it easier for you to convey her wishes to the medical professionals.

Yes, they’re at least different to the (numerous) common yellow and white ones I have. I should take a picture of the biggest one; it’s covered in flowers at the moment.

She's not OK. I think this is the end for her. I pray not, but time will tell

She need not worry, I’m here for her and her three cats, and twelve chickens. Her horse is already been sent south prior to this. Thank God
