I remember Happy Cheeks! Yes, Faverolles are not prolific layers, in fact according to the chicken book we all bought? They are meat birds! I think the Salmon Faverolles lay in spring and autumn/fall, and Reds appear to only lay in spring. Or maybe that’s just my girls.Ooohhh… are all faverolles terrible layers? That’s what I need next. No more high production breeds, which is such a shame, as I love Leghorns (especially brown ones) almost as much as Bob lives them (white ones)!
I once had a Salmon Faverolle named Hapoy Cheeks, but she died at two weeks old.
