That looks more like something rubbing up against it to me. It's there a bush or tree nearby that could be rubbing up against it?Just a few it just scared me a little
It could have been due too the winds we have had

I agree! I was going to say she looks like she’s thriving!Volt looks like she has got the hang of being a chicken. Well done Volt!

I was waiting for you to chime in, Shad. I distinctly remember you saying you don’t view chickens as a food source.I'm not a big egg fan either. Most of the eggs I've collected recently I've cooked and fed back to the chickens.![]()
Wonderful.Henry 11.
The more time they get out of the run the more like a rooster Henry becomes.
Interesting to see he has adopted the herding shuffle much more often. In the run, I assume due to llack of space he either doesn't try to keep the hens together and when one is in his way he usaully flashes his hackles.View attachment 2885012View attachment 2885013View attachment 2885014View attachment 2885016
X2. Looks like normal wear to me.I'll let the others with greater experience chime in, but I'd think if a predator, the scratches wouldn't fall directly in line with the wood grain.
Same here. I’m sure Bob would agree.Ditto on last paragraph 500x over
My go-to lately for mud is wood pellets. I love those things! That is a muddy mess. WOW. Some straw maybe?
“To prick, or not to prick, THAT is the question”I was asking if the pricking somehow made them easier to peel. I am confused as to whether it does or not now.![]()
How terrible for you!Can someone have this cat on their lap for a change, he won't leave me at all lately
