Hooray! I am so glad you were able to get them! I was so excited when I saw themI Finally Get Her Goat
I'm not sure who posted this was available but thank you (please take a bow). Mrs BY Bob finally got her goat (or two). The large lady on the left is Matilda and the young Lad on the present is William.

I might mess with you on some things but Hattie losing her spot would not be one.Wow. Really?
Hattie is only 3.4 years old. I can't believe that she is that tired. Also, she's another year older (a decade in human terms) so maybe she simply can't be bothered to make the effort.
Esther's molt was crazy. Here that would have been a death sentence.I have a few finishing up molt right now, but nothing major (some wing flight feathers and neck feathers on Roxy and some hackle feathers on Minnie). However, last year Ester had a HARD molt after Christmas!
I think so if that means anything. That, I think, is good news. It does mean it bodes well for her to recover...?yes?![]()
They look so forlorn roosting alone.Oh dear. Poor half-naked Diana has nobody to snuggle up to.
Maggie is in the nest box because she cannot balance on the roost.
Minnie has been roosting on her own since she got sick.
Dotty decided to join Minnie tonight.
It will dip down to freezing briefly so not terribly cold but I did shut the doors to keep as much heat in as possible.

Thanks Shad. They are really jumpy and frightened but I stood right in the middle of them armed. I figure I can beat it off if necessary and they are staying clumped together making it easy. Now that is the loveliest and best thing I've seen on this thread this year!
I'm so pleased you've let them out and found time to spend with them.
I know how hard you've found the recent events and while I'm not the type to be sending hugs and kisses etc, I've thought about you most days, but with those thoughts have been thoughts about the lovely hens you still have and the long term effects on them and you.
