I usually just clean up. The dog often beats me to it... I am currently making some diapers though.

I need chicken diapers!! For real!

I always do a head count & then I go out after they've roosted just to make sure everyone's settled & safe. I've stopped going out last thing before bed. I was just disturbing everyone & making them unsettled.

I count heads in each coop and then close the pop doors. Then I collect all feeding trays and lock them up for the night as well.

What do you do when a garden that has been closed off for winter and spring is suddenly open and weeded?

Take a good old dust bath of course!

I missed the shake off though she has carried small rocks before in her feathers the size of my thumbnail and as she walks off from the bath they randomly drop out onto the ground

And what if you don’t feel like a bath?
You dig for bugs next to your sister

Here’s a question for you @Shadrach, with Henry and Matilda do you notice any sheen in their black feathers?
Belle’s heart shaped black spots shine green but Snows have always been matte. Just wondered if your light Sussexes are the same or maybe I’m missing a subtlety in her feathers
