I’m going to study rooster behavior in depth. My one rooster Jaffar isn’t normal. He doesn’t act aggressive in any way. He loves to snuggle with me, he’s quiet and attentive, and that’s odd for a roosters behavior. Oh wow do I love this little guy!
No wonder his many ladies love him too!

I had to get up, and go peek at my stocking. (Yep there is as something in it again this year, COAL) :hit
I’m kidding
Sorry to hear that.

Nothing on my stocking - except my foot!!!!

Which is wet now, raining here, puddles, wet feet when I went to feed horses and chickies this morning. Need my rubber boots. Just because it's Christmas doesn't mean no chores!!!

She is looking good but her crop is still not emptying over night.
I realized too that she is far from over her molt. I was looking her over during a break in morning crop massage while she consumed coconut oil pieces and there are a lot of pin feathers coming through. Some of them are huge!
Some of my girls’ crops slow during molt, too. I don’t get it. Everything slows down to conserve resources, maybe?
