That’s not always such a bad idea… except for the spiders, I can’t abide the spiders running across my face at night!

I can go ahead and get the amoxy-tyl from there. But what about the discrepancy in the dose of each thing in the amoxy-tyl? 10g tylosin, 15g amoxicillin is what you have, they say here what they are offering is 30g tylosin, 15g amoxicillin, with a picture of the bag that you linked to.

I would wait for All Bird Products. It will be easier for me to dose if you have the same as me. The difference in label gives me pause as well just because of the discrepancy. It should not be too long until it is restocked.

This is what I received from the Lady Gouldian Finch site, I got some expert help on the dosing based on my chunky boy’s weight and a whole bunch stuff that’s beyond me. No need! Today DH said he’d build me a coop to save money. Yay! I’m so excited! I will be right alongside him so it turns out how I want. I know with absolute certainty the quality will be good, as he does very good work. I just don’t want him trying to control the size. I want an absolute minimum of 6x8. He has these wooden stages I’d like to use as a floor, so that might dictate the exact dimensions.

This truly is the best solution of them all. I'm very happy for you and the hens!

I have lost 2 chickens to my own dogs and one duck to either a cat or coon. The foxes and coyotes avoid our neighborhood I believe due to the amount of dogs. It was a chore to get all 11 dogs broke from chasing chickens.

How did you break them? Do you trust them completely?

Yes, you are correct about dogs as well!

Cats tend to take 1 and go someplace to eat. (No, haven't lost a chicken to a cat - YET, knock on wood), but a Bobcat lives around here. Multiple sightings in the area. However, my cat has caught song birds, mice, chipmunks, etc. Once she has one, she loses interest in the other song birds. Off she goes to eat half of it & leave the rest on the welcome mat for me

I have never seen a cat attack a chicken, at my house or on the farm. The chickens always boss them around,

There were definitely some peaceful moments today. There was also one moment today when Betty was bouncing among the big hens like a pinball as they pecked her to intimidate her. But mostly, it was peaceful.

Betty did consider checking out the big coop but Aurora was standing guard on the porch and Betty thought better of it.
